Come be a part of this first-time workshop for self-identified butch women or FTM! In this six-week workshop, you will build a three to five-minute performance piece incorporating a strip tease that reflects your individual attributes. Create a masculine strip tease or go to the complete other realm and do something crazy feminine or maybe totally in drag or incredibly androgynous. Or perhaps your piece has nothing to do with gender at all. There are no limits, no stereotypes. It's burlesque. Anything goes. Using my original archetypal energy work, (combining tools of physical theatre, archetypal energy, intuition, character exploration and imagery), you create an original performance piece, receive feedback and learn how to further develop the piece. You then perform the piece in class (and on stage if you want). Participants of all backgrounds are welcome and previous performance experience is not a requirement. Opportunity to perform in Dixon Place's HOT! Festival in July! (Not a requirement for the workshop).
